MRI Software offers enterprise software applications and hosted solutions that support real estate property owners, investors, and managers in operating their real estate property management businesses and maximizing the returns on their diverse global business portfolios. Our client base ranges from small- and mid-size property managers to Fortune 500 companies.
MRI’s platform team creates shared services and experiences across our product portfolio for use by our application teams, our partners, and our clients. Promoting adoption of our open and connected platform is a key differentiator for us and requires a comprehensive and well-documented API layer, a consistent best practice to developing shared services, and additional developer tooling such as developer portals.
As a leader within the Product Management Team for the Data Services Platform you will be responsible for driving the definition, strategy, requirements, and delivery of the API and shared services layers for the MRI platform.
You will partner with cross-functional leaders, including other platform teams, application teams, partner team, and the platform architecture team to deliver the preparation and oversight required to deliver on our mission statement as the leader for open and connected technology platforms in the real estate industry.
The role will be measured by delivering high quality, innovative solutions that are adopted by the market and are competitively differentiated. Manage timely deliverables with strong communication and cross-functional partnering. Ability to gain shared vision on challenging decisions that impact various teams and the offering.
Success will require closely engaging with internal stakeholders, partners, and clients as well as doing market and techology research to define and drive delivery of a solution that provides exceptional market value. Candidates must have a ‘can do’ attitude and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where continuous innovation is key. The role will be working with and providing team leadership to team members in various locations and timezones.
Essential responsibilities include:
- Develop and promote the roadmap for our APIs, shared services, and associated developer tooling
- Discover and validate both internal and market problems and opportunities globally
- Ensure product feedback loops are in place with customers and key business areas
- Responsible for the end-to-end solution lifecycle from design, development, go to market, and continuous innovation and enhancement
- Ensure the solution has KPI’s to track performance (adoption, usage, profitability, ARR etc.)
- Participate in business plans and business cases, including pricing
- Research and recommend buy/build/partner decisions
Required Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of open systems, APIs, and API management
- Proven results building external API and shared services offerings for clients and partner networks
- Audience-aware communication skills whether talking to senior-level client personnel, senior MRI management, or our platform architects and development leads
- Comfortable navigating in the intersection of strategic business needs and technology solutions
- Analytic & strategic thinking
- Solid decision-making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Software Development Lifecycle using agile principles
- Azure and Microsoft Data stack, APIM, Power BI, Azure Cognitive services
- Working knowledge of AI/ML techniques and data requirements preferred
- Knowledge of MRI’s products or real estate technology preferred
Experience
- 5+ years of working experience in enterprise software
- 2+ years of product management (or equivalent) experience
- Prior software engineer or modern software architecture experience preferred
- Experience with global and distributed business teams and processes
- Minimum Educational Requirements:
- B.S./B.A. or equivalent
