Bid Management is a key role for our organisation, having direct and significant impact on the success of our sales. We are looking to hire an enthusiastic, ambitious, and entrepreneurial Bid Manager ideally with experience from working for a software solutions or services company. In this role, you will be reporting to the Senior Bid Manager in providing support and assistance in all areas of work relating to the bid function. The role will have responsibility for compiling high-quality tender proposals to enable the expansion of the business in its specific markets, whilst ensuring that business growth targets are met.

 

This is a collaborative role which will require working with members of the sales, sales engineering, marketing, finance, legal, and product teams to ensure content is complete, accurate, and timely. This role will also help drive MRIs product direction based on inquiries from prospects and clients.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Oversee the bid process and governance.
  • Responsible for the submission of high-quality, professional, bid responses within the required timescales for all our products and solutions.
  • Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, sales engineering, product specialists, finance, HR, legal and delivery.
  • Ensure all the individual bid contributors are aware of their obligations and responsibilities and their deadlines for submission.
  • Contributing to the written proposal both in terms of content and presentation (such as presentation of the management summary)
  • Maintain the bid library and team site of standard responses, policies, case studies and images that can be accessed easily as and when required.
  • Work with bid automation software to promote content reuse and continual improvement in the bid process.
  • Work with numerous client portals and other types of submission methodology.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be able to produce documents that are clear, consistent, and complete.
  • Be familiar with Word Processing and Spreadsheet software.
  • Have outstanding organisational skills.
  • Be proficient in folder management and document control systems.
  • Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Be able to work under pressure and to tight timescales.
  • Ideally have a background of solutions and/or services and/or compliance.
  • Confident, tenacious, and motivated with high energy.
