MRI Software has an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner to join our team. As a Product Owner you will be responsible for interacting with the business, clients, and development to produce rich requirements specifications for development projects as we go forward. You will use your expertise in analysing business processes and your ability to interact with people at various levels to build a portfolio of requirements for the most immediate and upcoming business projects or product releases.

Overview

Product Owner

  • You will act in the Product Owner role for our core MRI product line. This includes specifying requirements, acceptance criteria, and validating successful completion of product features.

Client and Stakeholder Liaison

  • You will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to identify their needs or processes. You will be comfortable with connecting with stakeholders using a variety of mechanisms, including telephone, email, virtual and face to face meetings.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • You will be able to establish and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders and tailor recommendations or communications to their needs.

Requirements Management

  • Working closely with the business, clients, and the Development Manager (or their delegates) to produce specification documents for product versions which include all client and business requirements for that release.
  • You will be able to communicate desired processes, technical data transformations, improvements and suggestions, or other such complex requirements in a range of effective methods e.g., diagrams, slide decks, wireframes etc. You will be confident in communicating your recommendations/requirements across departments and be able to manage objections, concerns or queries.
  • Working alongside the Development Manager (or their delegates), you will be capable of analysing the requirements to assist in extracting them into deliverable development features.
  • You will be organised and methodical and be experienced in building and maintaining a requirements portfolio spanning several future versions.
  • You will be able to work alongside the testing team to establish and document a series of test cases which validate the requirements.
  • Due to the nature of the role, you may be required to travel to meet with external clients or stakeholders and you will be willing and able to do so.

Business Service Analysis

  • You will work with external and internal stakeholders to obtain feedback on existing services, products, or components, and along with your own judgements identify key areas for change – effectively communicating that into recommendations or solutions to resolve the issue(s).  

 

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to generate clear concise requirements documents and analysis reports.
  • Great presentation abilities to a range of audiences.
  • Both face to face and using virtual meetings.
  • Able to work under pressure and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Positive attitude for change.
  • Good understanding of technology.
  • Excellent analytical skills and able to communicate findings clearly and without bias.
  • Self-motivated

 

Experience

  • Must have experience working in a similar role with external client contact.
  • Experience working in a project management capacity a bonus.
