We have a wonderful opportunity for an Human Resource Generalist to join our team based in our Global Headquarters in Solon, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland.
The HR Generalist will perform various human resources duties in areas such as onboarding, engagement, events, retention, employee relations, and/or other special projects as needed. This position operates under minimal supervision, with wide latitude for independent judgment and requires a high level of confidentiality.
Essential Functions Include:
- Assist employees with questions regarding policies and procedures and ensure policies are followed
- Facilitate North American onboarding of new employees
- Conduct new hire trainings
- Plan and facilitate quarterly spirit weeks and other engagement events throughout the year
- Manage US philanthropy events
- Responsible for Employee Branding in Social Media for North America
- Manage unemployment claims
- Assist with audits
- Conduct exit interviews for assigned employees
- All other duties as assigned
- BA/BS Degree in human resource management, or similar business focus, or equivalent of 2-5 years of experience in HR Generalist functions (recruiting, employment, employee relations, employee benefits, training, etc.) in a corporate environment
- PHR certification a plus
- Minimum of two years experience in human resources generalist functions
- Proficiency with MS Office Applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to maintain the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality is required
- Strong planning, time management, decision making, presentation, and organization skills
- Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills; team focused
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong active listening skills with the ability to ask thoughtful and probing questions
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and strong problem solving skills
- Ability to approach situations strategically
