We have a wonderful opportunity for an Human Resource Generalist to join our team based in our Global Headquarters in Solon, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. 

The HR Generalist will perform various human resources duties in areas such as onboarding, engagement, events, retention, employee relations, and/or other special projects as needed.  This position operates under minimal supervision, with wide latitude for independent judgment and requires a high level of confidentiality.

Essential Functions Include:

  • Assist employees with questions regarding policies and procedures and ensure policies are followed
  • Facilitate North American onboarding of new employees
  • Conduct new hire trainings
  • Plan and facilitate quarterly spirit weeks and other engagement events throughout the year
  • Manage US philanthropy events
  • Responsible for Employee Branding in Social Media for North America
  • Manage unemployment claims 
  • Assist with audits
  • Conduct exit interviews for assigned employees
  • All other duties as assigned
 
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS Degree in human resource management, or similar business focus, or equivalent of 2-5 years of experience in HR Generalist functions (recruiting, employment, employee relations, employee benefits, training, etc.) in a corporate environment 
  • PHR certification a plus
  • Minimum of two years experience in human resources generalist functions
  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality is required
  • Strong planning, time management, decision making, presentation, and organization skills
  • Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills; team focused
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong active listening skills with the ability to ask thoughtful and probing questions
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to approach situations strategically
